Community Building
A new space for Tunbridge Wells
On top of the 500 adults and children who come to Christ Church on a Sunday, 500 more use our space throughout the week.
25 community groups and charities benefit from our facilities during the week. Organisations which offer support to parents & toddlers, men struggling with mental health, those in care or victims of domestic abuse.
Our weekly parent & toddler group, Sparklers is at capacity. The growing number of isolated, lonely and anxious teenagers who gather in the building on a Friday evening need more space. Demand for our Golden Years group which is at an all-time high. 25 community groups and charities benefit from our facilities during the week.
Organisations like Baby Umbrella, which listens, supports and empowers parents and babies or DAVSS, which works helps adults, children and young people to build a safe, positive future free from harm.
“Coming here every week, I’ve made so many good friends. Meeting people who accept me as I am has really helped my confidence.” Suzie
What’s the vision?
Demand is high and our facilities are ageing
We know local organisations need flexible, modern and affordable space to run support services. Transforming our building will add 650 sq metres of new, reconfigurable floor space.
More importantly, it will double our capacity to serve our community and support the vital work that’s already being done to support the vital work that’s already being done to help people in need, across the town and the surrounding area.
