A new space for Tunbridge Wells
We’re Christ Church Tunbridge Wells. If you’ve walked up the High Street, you’ll have walked right past our doors.
We do all the things that you’d expect a church to do, with over 500 adults and children coming through our doors each Sunday. But, we’re big on social transformation too, and another 500 people benefit from our building throughout the week.
In fact, 25 community groups and charities benefit use our facilities, offering support to parents & toddlers, people struggling with mental health, those in care or victims of domestic abuse. Organisations like Baby Umbrella, who support and empower parents and babies or domestic abuse charity DAVSS, who help adults, children and young people to build a safe, positive future free from harm.
Our very own weekly parent & toddler group, Sparklers is at capacity.
Demand for our Golden Years group which brings together lonely older members of the community, is at an all-time high.
The growing number of lonely and anxious teenagers who gather in the building on a Friday evening need more room.
We’re bursting at the seams, but our current building and facilities are ageing. We simply don’t have the space to cater for those across the town who need the most help.

The £5m Vision?
We know local organisations need flexible, modern and affordable space to run support services. That’s why we’re launching our Kingdom Building project.
Transforming our church will add 650 sq. metres of new, reconfigurable floor space. More importantly, it will double our capacity to serve the town and support the vital work that’s already being done to help people in need, across Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding area. Our rebuilt facilities will include:

A 360-seat multi-functional auditorium for local community groups, charities, and schools.

Flexible rooms that will allow us to provide safer, more affordable weekday activities for all ages within our local community.

Brand new commercial kitchen facilities for community cafes to help people living in food poverty or those who want to pop in to say hello and make new friends.

An expanded foyer area with step free access, that will serve as a warm, accessible, and welcoming space where those who are isolated will find connection, friendship, and community
