Serving our community and the world.

As a church, we see reaching out to the vulnerable as a gospel mandate and as a blessing. Whilst the parish is an economically well-off area, there are many in our community who are experiencing poverty, both economically and spiritually.

With our great location, we have a wonderful opportunity to awaken and inspire our community to how we can use our resources (time, creativity, and finances) to be a blessing to those around us and further afield.

The church seeks to empower and resource individuals and groups with vision for mission work, both home and away.

We have a number of mission partners based across the world whose work we support with organisations including WEC, People International, Oasis, Street Kids Direct, Crosslinks, CMS, Hospices of Hope, Life and Soul (Tun Wells), Open Doors, YFC (Tun Wells). We are also closely connected the group “Meeting Need” that gathers to empower the local community in reaching out to refugees.

Street Pastors

We are privileged to host and support this town-wide ministry. Teams of local volunteers that come from 25 churches in the area, go into the town-centre on Friday nights between 10pm and 4am to care for, listen to and help those are out on the streets. They are supported by a group of Prayer Pastors who cover the teams every time they go out. The initiative has received the full endorsement of the local Borough Council and Kent Police.

This ministry is just one example of how we are committed to being an active part of a unified wider church and Christian community in Tunbridge Wells.

Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, typically running over eleven weeks. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone’s welcome. It runs in cafés, churches, universities, homes, bars—you name it. No two Alphas look the same, but generally they have three key things in common: food, a talk and good conversation.
